Petunia's Story
Status: Available, vetting complete
Gender: female, spayed
Approximate age: 5-6 years old

Likes: playing with lasers, cuddling with people, being pet on her terms.

Dislikes: cats and dogs. Petunia is in a foster home with six other cats, two dogs and two birds. She isn’t the biggest fan of other animals, but she can co-exist. Petunia will grumble and hiss at other animals but will not attack them. She would rather walk away from another pet than to cause a fight.

Personality: Petunia is a lover! She has to be by her foster’s side 24/7. Her goal is to receive all the pets and to make biscuits. Petunia even loves belly rubs!

Background: she was found in the middle of a very busy road in Greece. Cars were rolling over her. Has been in our care for 575 days!

Vetting done: spayed, rabies vaccine, full FVRCP series, combo test (neg), microchip, Rev+ and Pyrantel.

Concerns:
Medical: Petunia has Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). This has been easily managed with a prescription diet of Purina EN wet food. A month’s worth of food will be provided to her future adopter. It is not expensive to manage over time - just the cost of her food. She has had zero complications since starting her food over a year ago.

She has stage 3-4 dental disease but had a full dental in December with multiple extractions. Her mouth is in great shape now!

Behavioral: Grumbles and sometimes swats (without nails). Has never hurt us. Don’t know why she does it because she usually wants to be pet immediately after. Would be best for homes with older teens and adults - no kids!

Location: Foster home

Intake date: 3/1/23

Adopt:
https://form.jotform.com/rightmeowrescue/adoption-application
