Pete's Story

Approximate DOB 10/28/25
Good morning. Here is a new write up for Pete along with a new photo.
Hi! I'm Pete the Cat. You may have read about me in a children's book. But I want to tell you about my real job. I am a Life Coach. I will guide you to be the very best you can be. First I'll teach you patience as I jump up on the counter or raid your make-up brushes like they are my own personal toys, even though you have told me “NO!” time after time. Keep trying. You're doing great! I will also guide you through frustration, improve your mobility and help your balance, as I attempt to lovingly hug your legs while you are walking (I always know where your foot is going to land next, so I am careful to be right under it to assure you I am with you), and then as quick as Rudolph on a foggy night, I will dash away from your grasp if you reach for me. See how helpful that is? But my greatest lesson for you is joy. I will show you how to be your unique self as you display joy by squiggling and twisting and turning to get the most of the snuggle when the one you love hugs you. If you have any other animals in the home, I would be happy to help them, too. For consultation appointment, please inquire via this Petfinder link, or contact our adoption coordinator Misty directly: 815-520-5527

Community Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please read carefully when considering adopting from us! General rules; *Potential adopter must be at least 21 years old, or have a consenting parent filling out the application *We also adhere to a general rule of thumb that, for adopters over the age of 60, we are strongly suggesting that an adult cat be your only consideration. Applications for small kittens may possibly denied due to age of adopter. *We are foster based, so the best way to ensure you meet the kitty you are interested in, you’ll need to inquire via Petfinder. The foster parent will get your inquiry and will respond. We promise! *Once you’ve inquired, most of our fosters have a fillable pdf of our application they can email back to you. *ALL cats and kittens are fully vetted; the adoption fee covers: *Spay/Neuter *Vaccines (FVRPC, rabies as appropriate) *Microchip *Standard Deworming protocol *In most cases FIV/FeLV test Kittens are $100 ($140 for a pair) Young cats (6mo+) are $85 Young adults (1yo+) are $65 Adults (2yo+) are $50 Adults (3yo+) are $25 *When arriving to a meet and greet/ potential adoptions, we ask that you have a carrier that a kitty can be put into securely for safe transport to their new home. We are so appreciative that you’ve considered adopting from us! We are a small group, held together by just a handful of crazy cat ladies just trying to save some lives. Reach out to fosters with ANY/ALL questions! We are known for being very responsive to our potential adopters!
