Peso's Story

Peso is a very handsome young cat who came to us as a kitten in April of 2024 from a hoarding house... he and all the other animals in the home had sadly been abandoned by the people who previously lived in the house. Peso has always been skittish and due to the fact that he received little socialization during the critical kitten stages of his young life due to being abandoned, he has struggled socially as an adult and is considered semi-feral. (All of the other kittens in his litter were adopted out as kittens and he is the only one left who wasn't adopted.)
Peso will need an experienced adopter who is willing to keep him regardless of how friendly he may ever become. Experience with feral cats would be a definite plus although not necessarily required. (We are not recommending young children for this cat.) Peso is very food motivated and does great using the litter box!
Peso has an especially handsome face with interesting markings! He has a very unique coat that reminds us of a wild rabbit's coat or maybe he looks a little like an Abyssinian! Peso enjoys the company of other cats. He ABSOLUTELY MUST go to a home with another cat or kitten! It would be ideal for him to be adopted with another cat that he knows, although not required as long as there is another cat or kitten in the home. Peso was introduced to a large, cat-friendly dog while in our care and was scared but would probably do fine with cat-friendly dogs once he has had an appropriate amount of time to adjust to them. (Only calm dogs though, nothing too hyper!) Peso will have been neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV/HW tested negative, and microchipped at his time of adoption! Interested adopters can submit an application by contacting HobosHome2020@yahoo.com or by sending us a message and we will send you the necessary form!
