Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. <br/><br/><br/>The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.<br/><br/><br/>PEPPER and LEO have had a rough life already. They were from a Lawndale colony of outdoor cats. The people are super nice. The trapper TNR’D 6 cats that were all adults. PEPPER and LEO were too small to return. They deserved a chance to be adopted. And the fact that they had 3 older siblings that were killed by the neighbors running them over was the reason we saved them.<br/><br/><br/>Meet PEPPER, a charming Black Calico from sunny Lawndale, California, who knows how to make an entrance! This delightful little lady is a swirl of midnight black and soft amber patches, creating a unique coat that’s as captivating as her personality. PEPPER is equal parts sweetness and sass—she’s that friend who always has something to say, greeting you with friendly meows and an endearing purr or two as she shares her thoughts on the day.<br/><br/><br/>If you’re looking for a social kitty, PEPPER’s your girl. She’s a total chatterbox, and her lively "conversations" will keep you entertained. Her communication style is as varied as her fur pattern: she’ll let you know when it’s time for attention, when she’s ready for some cozy lap time, or especially when she’s hoping for her favorite treat—Churru! Oh, how she loves that tasty little reward, and she’s sure to look at you with those soulful eyes until she gets it.<br/><br/><br/>PEPPER is a certified lap cat, with a deep affection for pets and snuggles. She’s happiest curled up right beside you, making herself at home on your lap as she soaks up all the love and attention you’re willing to give. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)<br/>2. Fill Out Online Form<br/>3. Submit Online Application<br/>4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview (within a week)<br/>5. Will be notified of Approved Application<br/>6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)<br/>7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty<br/>8. Sign Adoption Contract - AME <br/>9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)<br/>10. Take the Kitty Home<br/><br/><br/>********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP**********<br/><br/><br/>VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. <br/><br/><br/>Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays.<br/><br/><br/>******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ******************<br/><br/><br/>The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below: <br/><br/><br/>****Please note we only have cats physically in MURRIETA, INDUSTY and WEST COVINA ONLY. Gas donations always appreciated!<br/><br/><br/>************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************<br/><br/><br/>If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.<br/><br/><br/>Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.<br/><br/><br/>We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue.
