Pepper's Story

Meet Pepper!

Her happy tail says it all!

Pepper is a gentle soul with a big heart. She’s a little cautious in new situations and takes her time to warm up — but once she does, she’s very loving. She enjoys snuggles too, and she’ll thrive in a calm, patient home where she can feel safe and loved.

Pepper is one of the 101 cats rescued from a single home in Reno and transferred to us from Washoe County. Though her early life was full of challenges, this gentle girl is ready for a peaceful, loving forever home.

Pepper has been fostered with Penny, so be sure to look at Penny's listing too.

Pepper and Penny aren’t bonded, so they can be adopted separately. However, both girls do need another friendly cat in their new home to keep them company. They’re used to feline friends and will do best in a home where they’re not the only cat.

Additional information on Pepper:

Pepper is a quiet sweetheart who prefers to take in the world from above. You'll often find her perched gracefully on the highest cat tower or cage, watching everything with calm curiosity. She may not be the first to run up to you, but once you approach her, she melts into your hand like butter.

She adores gentle affection—especially butt scratches! Give her a few, and she’ll reward you by standing tall on her back feet, purring and stretching into your touch with the cutest little tippy-toes.

While Pepper loves her peaceful lounging time, she also enjoys a little bit of play each day. She’s not a wild child, but a gentle play session with a wand toy or a soft ball is just her speed. It’s the perfect balance of calm and curious.

Pepper is looking for a calm, patient home where she can feel safe, loved, and have a tall perch or two to call her own. She may be soft-spoken, but she has so much love to give once you earn her trust.

If you're looking for a serene, affectionate companion with a playful sparkle, Pepper is your girl.
