Pepper's Story

I came to the shelter because my family was moving and couldn't take me with them. I can be shy at times, but with some patience I will warm up and let you pet me. When people come to visit I tend to keep my distance and watch before I make my approach for petting...but get ready for petting. While I do enjoy petting I am not one for being picked up, preferring to settle down for some lap time once I'm comfortable with you and if you're lucky I will let you scratch my back. Safe Haven's Adoption Policy
Once someone picks out a cat or a dog they would like to adopt from us, we ask them to fill out an adoption application on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. After the application is reviewed (within 1 to 2 business days) we will try to contact the applicant by calling or emailing them. If the adoption is approved, we will then try to set up a day and time that the adopters can come to the shelter to pick up their new pet! At that time we will have the new owners sign some paperwork and provide us with the adoption donation fee. The adoption donation fee for a dog is $200. The adoption donation fee for a cat is $75.
