Pepita's Story

Pepita is as sweet, gentle, and good-natured as a cat can be. She loves everyone she meets and she's amiable whether you're snuggling her or doing something no kitty likes - giving her medication. If we gave prizes for exceptional personalities here at Tabby's Place, Pepita would be a winner.

Sadly, Pepita's life has not been all love and snuggles. Pepita was found wandering the streets after having suffered a severe spinal injury. We're not sure how she ended up outside or how she was injured. Nonetheless, she was in desperate shape when she was found.

Pepita's injury left her unable to use the litter box on her own and with no control over her tail. Due to her ongoing medical needs, many shelters don't have the time or resources to give Pepita a second chance, but once we heard Pepita's story, we knew she was meant to be a Tabby's Place cat.

Pepita now lives a happy life in one of our cozy cat suites. She enjoys cuddling with her kitty friends and sleeping in the laps of volunteers. Her favorite activity by far is taking luxurious naps in her sunny solarium. Best of all, her special medical needs are tended to by our experienced staff.

Pepita is so grateful to have a second chance at life. As she lies in the bright afternoon sun and her eyes grow heavy as she begins to drift into sleep, Pepita thinks of how blessed she is to be safe and loved again. Then her eyes fall closed, and she dares to dream of a loving family all her own.
