Pepe's Story
Meet Pepe - Queens Raised, Candlewood Living, Ladies' Man by Profession

Pepe came to Connecticut from Queens, New York, and while we aren't entirely sure what he was doing in the city, we can tell you this:

He has absolutely brought the New York attitude with him.

Pepe is a 10-pound, amber-eyed, grey tabby gentleman with confidence, charm, an appetite that should probably be medically studied, and one very important weakness:

The ladies.

Pepe had a girlfriend here named Ponyo.

She got adopted.

Pepe mourned appropriately.

For approximately four hours.

Then he was spotted chatting up Lilly.

Then Mama Mia.

Apparently Pepe's philosophy on romance is less "I will wait for the right one" and more:

"Next!"

He's a ladies' man. What can we say?

But Pepe isn't just handsome. He's ridiculously friendly and absolutely convinced that every human he meets has arrived specifically to pet him.

He loves attention.

He loves treats.

He loves food.

Actually, let's be honest.

Pepe LOVES FOOD.

So much so that he has figured out how to make his way upstairs to investigate the other cats' accommodations and attempt a little unauthorized dining.

And he's good at it.

We'd estimate his success rate at approximately 90%.

The other 10% is apparently when someone catches him.

Pepe also has a standing invitation to visit the shelter office, where he happily greets whoever walks through the door like he's been appointed Director of Public Relations.

He has never met a stranger.

Or a snack.

Or apparently a female cat he didn't immediately find interesting.

And then there's the part we really love:

Pepe is just... cool.

He's confident without being obnoxious, affectionate without being clingy, social without being overwhelming, and perfectly happy to hang out with the other cats. He's the kind of cat who can settle into whatever room he's in and make himself right at home.

He's got that classic New York confidence, but he's traded the subway for Candlewood Lake, the bodega for the treat cupboard, and the city dating scene for the NFSAW cat room.

Honestly?

We think he upgraded.

Pepe is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready to move into his forever home.

He'd be a fantastic companion for someone who wants a genuinely social, affectionate cat with a HUGE personality packed into 10 pounds of tabby.

And if you're looking for a cat who will quietly sit in the corner and pretend you don't exist...

Keep scrolling.

Pepe has places to be.

Ladies to impress.

And apparently, other people's food to steal.

Pepe - Queens born. Candlewood approved. Professional heartbreaker. Amateur food burglar.

"Next!"

He loves food.
Actually, let's be honest.
Pepe LOVES FOOD.

And he's good at it.
We'd estimate his success rate at approximately 90%.
