Pennywise / Circle K's Story
Pennywise, once comfortable in his home will allow for pets and does enjoy having his neck pet and his chin scratched. However, this does take time. Pennywise does enjoy a clean litter box and will use it consistently with twice daily cleaning.

Pennywise, when trapped at 6mo had been living in the storm drain of a local Circle K, hence the name.

This independent feline is not suited for indoor pet life - they are [e.g., fearful of humans, feral/semi-feral, prefers minimal contact] but excellent at natural rodent control.
All our barn/working cats receive:

Spay/neuter surgery
Current on Rabies and FVRCP vaccines
Flea treatment and deworming
Ear-tip, a procedure performed under anesthesia, pain meds provided.

Important Acclimation Requirement:
Barn cats must be confined for 2-4 weeks in a secure, sheltered enclosure (e.g., large crate, tack room, or escape-proof area) with daily fresh food, water, and litter box(es). This allows them to adjust to new sights, sounds, and smells, bonding to the location as "home." Releasing too early risks the cat attempting to return to their previous territory and potential danger.

After acclimation, provide ongoing:
Access to shelter (barn/outbuilding for protection from weather/predators)
Daily food and fresh water
Monitoring for health needs

If you have a suitable low-stress outdoor environment and can commit to these guidelines, [Cat's Name] will be a valuable, eco-friendly pest control partner!
For more on successful barn cat relocation:

ASPCA Position on Community Cats (includes working cat programs): https://www.aspca.org/about-us/aspca-policy-and-position-statements/position-statement-community-cats-and-community-cat
ASPCA Barn to Be Wild Program example: https://www.aspca.org/news/these-hard-working-unique-cats-are-barn-be-wild
Alley Cat Allies Safe Relocation Guidelines: https://www.alleycat.org/community-cat-care/safe-relocation/
