Penny Lane's Story
Penny is an approximately five month old, beautiful gray tabby with white, possibly a Maine Coon mix with her long whiskers, adorable ear furnishings, little fur tufts between her toes, and soft, silky hair.
Her white ruff is beginning to take shape on her throat and chest. It’s going to be beautiful.

Penny was a feral kitten living at an apartment complex with her mom and brother. The caretaker finally trapped her at 13 weeks of age. It took some work to gain her trust, but she’s doing great with me now. She will need time and patience to adjust to new people and new surroundings, but she’s worth it. Penny is fun loving, affectionate, curious. Her presence is therapeutic as her antics will make you laugh or at least smile many times throughout the day, not to mention the calm that comes from stroking her soft hair as she cuddles next to you.

Penny gives the sweetest head butts, and she often eagerly jumps down from the cat condo to greet me when I enter the play room, purring and rubbing against me. She enjoys being petted and will lay next to me for some loving when she’s ready to relax. Then she’s up and ready to play again.

Penny is very curious and has enjoyed the freedom of exploring the main floor of the house over the past week or so. If I leave the house or go outside, I can usually find her UNDER the couch when I come back inside. It takes some coaxing to get her to come out, as we all know that cats do what they want when they want.
Recently, I’ve found that if I begin strumming a few chords on my guitar or mandolin she immediately appears from under the couch and will jump up and join me on the couch. It’s kind of funny. She doesn’t seem to mind what I play, or how badly I play. She enjoys anything from Passenger to Pearl Jam.

Penny has been spayed, dewormed, received flea preventative, her first FVRCP vaccination and a Rabies vaccination. Her mother was tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV and the results were negative.

If you’re interested in Penny please contact me at (234) 567-7858 via text or voicemail, or email austinsfam@aol.com. Penny’s adoption fee is minimal as the goal is to find her a home with someone who has experience with under socialized cats, and/or someone who understands the time and patience needed to earn their trust and affection. Penny will need a week, maybe two, to adjust to her new surroundings. She would most likely do best in a home with adults only, or a home with older children.
