Actress Penny Marshall once said, “The truth is that I am not a frump…I just enjoy being laid back.” My name is Penny, and I like being laid back too! I like hanging out on a cat bed on a window ledge where I can watch the birds! I am a mama to five kittens, so I deserve it! I am a 2-year-old tabby who was found with my kittens when they were 2 weeks old back in August. We were taken to Northern Valley Animal Clinic then sent to Paws and Claws. We all went to a foster home, where we stayed until the babies were old enough to come to the shelter. The kittens have all found homes. That leaves me, mama cat. I do like to play! Enthusiastically, I might add. I love leaping and swatting at wand toys! I also enjoy being petted and will rub up against people to get their attention. At 2 years old, I am still very kittenish myself, so if you’re looking for a kitty who’s a purrfect blend of mellow and frisky, Penny could be the girl for you!<br/><br/>Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Paws and Claws Humane Society's Adoption Policy

IMPORTANT UPDATE Although our shelter is open to potential adopters during the viewing hours listed on this page, Paws and Claws prefers to schedule viewings and adoptions by appointment. To make an appointment to meet and adopt one of the companion animals on our Website, we ask that you fill out an online application. Potential adopters can either click on the ADOPTION APPLICATION link on the right side of this page, or visit our Website at pawsandclaws.org and go to the "Willing to Adopt a Pet" section, then select the orange "Adoption Form" box. This will allow you to access the Adoption Guidelines and Application Form. After reading the Adoption Guidelines, either complete the online adoption form and return it to us, or print the Adoption Form, fill in the required information, sign it, and email it back to us via info@pawsandclaws.org. You may list up to four animals that you would like to meet. We review the emails every day. We will process all applications in the order that they are received and then once your application has been approved, we will contact you and set up an appointment for you to meet the animal(s) and if possible, do the adoption on the same day you come in.
