Penguin & Miranda (bonded pair)'s Story
Miranda and Penguin are a bonded tuxedo duo whose relationship is built on trust, loyalty, and a whole lot of love. These two are inseparable and must be adopted together—they look out for one another constantly and clearly feel safest and happiest as a team.

Their days are a joyful mix of affection and chaos: sudden sneak attacks that turn into rolling wrestling matches, followed by mutual baths, snuggling, and then—inevitably—another burst of zooming and playful mayhem. It’s all part of their shared language and deep bond.

Miranda is the outgoing half of the pair—a playful, affectionate girl who truly loves her humans. She adores interactive play and seeks out attention with enthusiasm. When Miranda comes in for affection, her engine is already running: she purrs loudly through full-body rubs and happily presses herself as close as possible. She loves being near her people, often following them from room to room, and may even choose your head as a perfectly acceptable place to sit. Miranda brings confidence, warmth, and joyful energy into every space she enters.

Penguin is much quieter and more sensitive. She is still a shy girl and can be easily startled, especially in new situations or busy environments. Penguin takes her time observing before engaging, and she relies heavily on Miranda for reassurance and confidence. While she does enjoy play—romping after toys, boxes, or bottle caps—she approaches affection gently and on her own terms. Penguin shows connection through proximity, calm presence, and loyalty rather than bold cuddles. With patience and consistency, she continues to make small, meaningful strides, but she will need a home that understands and respects her need for time and safety.

Together, Miranda and Penguin are beautifully balanced. Miranda helps Penguin feel brave; Penguin grounds Miranda. Their bond is genuine and deep, and watching them care for one another—whether through playful tumble-fights or quiet moments curled together—is incredibly special.

They will thrive in a calm, loving home that values companionship, understands that personalities unfold at different speeds, and appreciates the magic of a bonded pair. If you’re ready to welcome two hearts that truly belong together, Miranda and Penguin are waiting to grow with you—side by side.

--

As with all of our young kittens, it is required that they be adopted as a pair, with another kitten, or to a home with another cat(s).

Submit an Adoption Application to be considered:
https://www.tailshigh.org/home/adoption-application/

Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved.
