Penelope's Story
Meet Penelope!

This little bundle of love is about 7 months old now. She was taken in originally by another shelter in Minnesota as a bottle baby. She was very sickly and never really got over her upper respiratory infections. She also had a significant ear infection they could not get rid of. This caused her to have a bad head tilt and she would spin in circles. They asked us to take her as we have more experience with cases like hers.
We were able to get her to our surgery specialist right away and they opened up her inner ear on the right side and cleared out a giant polyp and a lot of debris. She also had 2 large polyps in the back of her throat that were removed at the same time.

Once recovered from surgery, she acted like aa completely different cat! She still doesn't like to be held which isn't surprising when she spent her whole life dizzy. She will not have any long term issues because of this and she loves being a crazy, playful kitten. She has been fostered with a dog and some kitties and does well.
She will never be a hold me cat but that is okay!

Adoption fee is $200
Adoption applications available at rpaw.org
