Penelope's Story

Meet Penelope!

AGE AT ARRIVAL: Approximately 6 to 8 months old
ARRIVAL DATE: October 2nd, 2025
GENDER: Spayed Female
ADOPTION FEE: $200
NOTES:
Penelope was found as a stray and brought to Hamilton Animal Services. This poor cat was in rough shape when she arrived. She was covered in urine, her fur was matted and greasy, and she had severe ear mites. The shelter treated her earmites, and they cleaned up her fur as best they could. When no owner came forward to claim Penelope, we were happy to take this sweet girl in.

Penelope was spayed on her rescue day, and thankfully, blood work results were normal. Now that she is healed from her spay surgery, Penelope is ready for her forever home!

Here’s a note from Penelope’s foster mom:
“Penelope is a sweet, friendly, and playful kitten. She will greet you with her expert biscuit-making skills and a steady motor of purring.
Like any curious kitten, Penelope is always up for an adventure. She’s eager to explore anything new, investigate every nook and cranny. Her favorite activities include chasing teaser toys, zooming through tunnels, and batting around springs.
Penelope is very interested in other cats. She would do well as an only cat or with another cat who matches her energy. She would do best in a home that can offer her plenty of enrichment, playtime, and snuggles.
When she’s not playing, Penelope will curl up next to you or on your lap for a nap and some pets.
Her outgoing and kind personality would be a good match for experienced or first time cat owners.”

Please adopt Penelope!
Visit ladybirdanimalsanctuary.com to apply
