Pearl's Story

Pearl had a traumatic start to her life. Her rescuer saw a little kitten outside a store under a car and took a better look. The cat scurried away in a manner that made her think she was injured, in fact she was missing a part of her back leg! This was a small kitten, alone in a scary world, not able to run away and with no one to protect her.
Catching her wasn't easy but finally she was scooped up into her arms and whisked away to her veterinarian. She had indeed lost half of her back leg, there a bloody stump was revealed. Pearl was given the best care and taken home, there she was fed and nurtured.
Our shelter immediately agreed to take her and Pearl was delivered to us. She has a large cage, but she runs and plays with the other cats as well. If she was a person, she would have a crutch, but as it is she limps around on her one good back leg.
Pearl is still shy but she's gotten stronger and braver. She loves being held and played with. She needs a special home. Would you be interested in giving this little angel your love and attention?
Pearl is very good about using the litterbox too.
Please text Laura at (641) 919-1289 for more information or email friends@heavenlypet.org or go to our website www.heavenlypet.org to fill out an application for adoption.
