Pearl's Story

Pearl is a gorgeous combination of Siamese (look at those blue eyes!) and stunning tabby genes. Her history is a bit of mystery, but what we do know is that Pearl is about 5 years old, with the appetite and energy of a kitten! She loves all the toys, and will not pass up an opportunity to play with anyone who is available and willing.

She’s curious and social, ready to greet friends and strangers alike. She's not a lap cat, but more of a "next to you" type of companion. Her play style can be a bit bitey, so Pearl needs people who are familiar with that type of energy. She is learning to be more gentle, but she obviously had some life experience that including rough rasslin', so she won't be a good fit for families with young kids, or with no prior cat experience.

We know that Pearl has a lot of anxiety around dogs, but we haven't tested her around other cats. She may enjoy the company of another confident, playful cat--she has a lot of energy to burn! She also loves a good head massage.

Pearl has been spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up to date on vaccines. She has excellent house manners, and is very tidy in the littler box. She has no special needs, except for the high-quality diet we provide and recommend for all cats and kittens. The adoption fee is $100.

If you are interested in meeting Pearl please complete the adoption interest form on our website (www.pdx-petadoption.org) and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly.

Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering our pets for adoption.
