Peanut in Colorado's Story

Meet 8 yr old Peanut in Colorado!

Peanut is not your ordinary cat, he is extraordinary in personality (sweet sweet sweet), and because of his kitty superpowers. He is considered avisual, and has cataracts and detached retinas. He may be able to see shadows, but he’s gained extra sensitive senses and uses what vets call “kitty echolocation” to maneuver around. It’s absolutely amazing to see how he maneuvers so well!

Don’t let his lack of vision deter you! Peanut is the most gentle, affectionate and soulful cat! He craves snuggles and scritches, and loves being perched on the shoulders of his favorite human. He also loves sun bathing and rolling around outside with supervision. He enjoys a good conversation and will always tell you when his bowl needs more food.

Peanut is very, very chill! He loves belly scratches, and doesn’t seem to be bothered by many things. However, he does not like his crate or car rides. He feels safest in a place he’s mapped out understands. He gets along great with other cats and dogs, and loves all people!

Peanut is neutered, vaccinated, and up-to-date on all his veterinary care. Due to his eye situation, Peanut should have an annual exam with a veterinary ophthalmologist.
