Peanut Butter's Story

This incredible girl has been through so much, yet her heart is still full of love to give. When she first arrived in her foster home, she was malnourished, sick, and caring for three tiny babies — who, despite all efforts, didn’t survive. Heartbroken and confused, she was soon introduced to four orphaned kittens found abandoned in a trash can. After a quick sniff of each one, she immediately began grooming them, taking them in as if they were her own. Her selflessness and love saved their lives.

It was clear from the start that Peanut Butter had been mistreated in the past. She was extremely skittish around people and took time to trust her foster. But with patience and kindness, she has made incredible progress. Now, she enjoys gentle head scritches — on her terms. She always gives a little sniff of a hand first, and if she nudges against it, that’s her way of saying, “Yes, I’d like some love now.” She will show her appreciation by flopping over and making you some air biscuits!

Now that her foster kittens have all grown up, she’s started to enjoy playing! She loves batting at chaser toys and has been spotted pouncing on stuffed toys as well.

She would do best in a quiet, patient home with someone who understands that trust takes time. She’s an affectionate soul who wants nothing more than to be loved but needs a person who will let her set the pace. Because of her past, she would thrive in a kid-free home where she can feel safe and secure.

If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient cat who just needs a little patience to blossom into the loving companion she longs to be, Peanut Butter may be the perfect match for you.

This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
