Peanut's Story
Meet Peanut!

Peanut and her sister Kiwi were found by a good samaritan at only a couple of days old. Their sibling and mother had been infected by bot flies. The 3rd kitten had already passed, and the mother passed soon after. While our rescue typically focuses on dogs, one of our co-directors/ fosters stepped up to bottle feed these two babies and give them a fighting chance. They are now (as of writing this) about 9 weeks old, thriving, and ready for their furrever home!

Peanut has the usual playful tendencies of a kitten and does wonderfully with other cats, but especially loves time with humans that she meets. She has never met a stranger, and is a huge fan of belly rubs and snuggles. She loves her "zoomy time" to speed around the house like a race car, but reliably comes back when called. She is very curious and food motivated which makes giving any medications and prevention a breeze.

We can't believe she is still available! She is so hard not to fall in love with when you meet her. For any questions or concerns, please feel welcome to reach out to their foster Megan via text at (817)807-6323, or by emailing DASH animal rescue at aussomepups@aol.com.

APPLICATION REQUIRED at this link: https://forms.gle/n5D7mqabdrpPwDue9
*priority will be given to prospective adopters looking to bring the sisters home together- kittens always do best with another in the home, and these two come with the perfect built-in best friend!*

Our application must be completed prior to setting up a meeting.

Our listed fosters ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! If you apply and we approve you, it means that we are assuming that you are ready to commit to adopting and bringing them home.

General Info - With very rare exceptions all cats of appropriate size/ age will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - kittens who are not developmentally ready/ recommended to be spayed or neutered yet will include a spay/ neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if adopter does not choose to use his or her personal primary vet. Our cat fosters are fully vetted with all age-appropriate preventative care, and are sent home with documentation of this care as well as a small care-basket of starter supplies.
