Peach's Story

Miss Peach and her siblings are 4 month old kittens rescued from a Bronx backyard. They had upper respiratory infections and needed medical attention, and their feeder was moving to another area imminently, so we were called in to scoop them up!

Peach's (and Mango's) eye damage is scarring due to a common viral infection afflicting most outdoor cats. An eye specialist says that her prognosis is good, though! We don't expect her eyes to get any better or worse, and Peach should continue to thrive with standard care.

As the runt of the litter, Peach was half her siblings' size when she arrived. Despite being nearly blind, she was the first to use her new litter box, eat the new food, and explore her new surroundings and toys outside the crate. Her favorite toys are the ball track, springs, and catnip mice! She is heartwarmingly brave, affectionate, and intelligent, with a strong spirit and determination to figure it all out and introduce herself to everyone she meets. Miss Peach is an extrovert and feels best playing with her siblings or taking naps on people's laps, so we recommend you have at least one other pet to keep her company while you are at work. Poor eyesight does not deter her at all, but she is very cautious as she makes all her mental notes about her encounters. After a few months with us, she is growing well and climbs all over everything, including up our legs when we stand in the kitchen (wear sweatpants!) and across our shoulders when we sit down! Would you like to give this sweet little Peach a furever home?

Miss Peach is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FELV/FIV negative.
