Pea's Story

Pea is estimated to be 2-3 years old, and, in this short time, has had a very difficult life. She came to us only 5 pounds, flea-infested, and terrified. She took months to realize that we wouldn’t hurt her, so spent most of her early days at the rescue hiding. We know she’s been significantly neglected and likely abused because of her x-rays. Pea has a misshapen tailbone, luxated patella, and a torn ACL. All of these injuries have led to a limp when she walks, but she is not in any pain. She jumps around, runs, and plays like a normal cat. While we don’t know all the details of what she’s been through, we know this: she was not given the love she deserves.

Since coming to us, Pea has opened up so much. She’s become a confident, cuddly little love bug — but she’ll still need a quiet, calm home to continue thriving. Loud noises like cars and trains scare her, so she’s hoping for a cozy environment, ideally with someone home often (she LOVES companionship!). She’d be happiest as your one-and-only or with one calm kitty friend — and while she’s lived with a dog before, she much prefers feline company.

Pea is the kind of kitty who just wants to love and be loved. She’s got the sweetest, most gentle personality — always ready to curl up next to you for cuddles, follow you around the house like a little shadow, and soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. She's playful in a soft, quiet way, and her favorite hobby? Just being wherever you are.

Pea is ready to meet the person who’ll give her the forever home she’s been dreaming of. Could it be you? Apply to adopt this precious girl and give her the peaceful, love-filled life she deserves! ??
