Pawlina Toesington's Story

Meet Pawlina
Pawlina is a sweet senior gal who has perfected the art of being a devoted little companion. At around 10 years old, she isn’t looking for a busy household or endless excitement—she’s looking for her people. Her favorite place is wherever her humans are, and what she wants most in life is your attention, affection, and a cozy spot to settle in beside you.
Pawlina is entering the early stages of kidney disease, so she does have some special medical needs that her future family will need to be comfortable with. A kidney-supportive diet is recommended if she will eat it, with a good senior diet being the next best option. Her bloodwork should also be rechecked every 8–12 weeks for now so we can keep an eye on her kidney values and catch any changes early.
Because of her kidney disease, Pawlina may urinate more frequently, and urinary changes can become part of managing her condition as she gets older. Her veterinarian will continue to monitor her for other potential complications, including blood pressure changes, although treatment for hypertension is not necessarily needed in every kidney patient.
None of this changes who Pawlina is. She is still the same incredibly sweet girl who just wants to be loved.
We’re looking for a special family who understands that adopting a senior means embracing both the love and the extra care that comes with those golden years. In return, Pawlina will give you something pretty wonderful: a gentle, affectionate companion who is happiest simply knowing her humans are nearby.
If your idea of a perfect cat is one who wants to spend her days being adored, Pawlina may be your girl.
