Paul's Story

Paul came from a barn after beating the lights out of other cats. We initially thought we were going to perform TNR only. However, after getting ill for a while, we kept him and gave him a chance to prove he could be a house cat, and he took the challenge well.

What a surprise! He is actually a very nice boy. He was able to adapt to other males in the room without problems, and an elderly female ended up making him eat a humble pie a couple of times. Karma is there for sure.

Our boy Paul not only learn to live with other cats, he learned how much he likes human attention. He likes it and wants it all. Love, attention, pets, cuddles, treats, toys and catnip.

We do NOT recommend a household with children at all for him. He still has some snarky behaviors when he gets overwhelmed to the point of swatting some volunteers. We do NOT recommend a household with dogs. He absolutely dislikes dogs.

We DO recommend you to give him a chance. This young bachelor is nothing but a frat boy, and he would love to go a home he can keep partying and jumping around.

Visitors are limited to approved applicants only. Please fill out an adoption application if you are interested in stopping by. We will be in touch once your application is approved to set up a visit.

Adopt: lighthouseanimalshelter.org/adopt
Foster: lighthouseanimalshelter.org/foster
