Patches's Story

Patches, female tabby, about a year old.

Born in a colony of cats, Patches is quite the work of art. She has such a pretty and unique coat for a tabby. She is our most nervous girl, and one we've been trying to get out of her shell for a while. She gets along great with her siblings along with Chris and Annabel. Humans though, are a different story. She's pretty wary of us and at first she would hide and not come out if we were in the garage. We haven't been able to pet her yet. We have made progress with her and she's starting to be more comfortable around us, and will play with us every now and then. If you want a bit of a project, Patches is your girl. Having her would be so special because it would mean being the first person that she would learn to trust fully and completely.

Although she won't give love and affection at first, please be willing to take this sweet girl as she deserves a home just as much as the others

Contact Nancy @ 425-308-0719 to discuss adopting this girl, and consider adopting her with her sister Tango or big brother Christopher! These cards are located in eastern Washington but Nancy is willing to transport for the right home.

Grassroots Rescue's Adoption Policy
When adopting a cat from Grassroots Rescue, you will be dealing solely with the rescuer of that cat. While we have a generic questionnaire for you to fill out, the most important thing will be for you to connect with the rescuer and find out more about this cat; discussing the cat and your lifestyle will help your rescuer know if this cat will be a good fit for you! Your rescuer may have a different application or different questions. Filling out the adoption application will answer the basic questions for your rescuer, but we look forward to answering your questions as well. The application has been pasted below, and you may copy/paste it into an email and send directly to the rescuer in order to hasten the process; alternately, the rescue will send you the application as an attachment. You may sign the application electronically.
