Parmesan's Story
Meet Parmesan, a quiet gentle guy who along with many other cats were in a home, allowed to breed uncontrollably, and when the elderly owner died, no one to care for the cats. These indoor cats were forced out of the home into the outside with no shelter, food, water, etc. A terribly sad situation. Trappers were able to trap many cats and 10 of them have made their way to Second Chance.

Parmesan is shy. It's understandable given all that he has experienced. Parmesan is sweet and unassuming. He allows pets but is still trying to believe it's okay to be loved and that he can trust. Wet food is a great way to build a relationship with him as he loves wet food. Parmesan will need an adopter willing to give him time and build his trust, build his confidence. Parmesan would do best in a quieter, routine home probably with a single adopter or couple.

Parmesan gets along with other felines but doesn't necessarily need them so he could be an only cat. Pasta isn't the same without a little Parmesan, so is your home not the same without our guy Parmesan. He'll add that little extra specialness.

Parmesan has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Parmesan has an approximate birthdate of 05/29/2024. His adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Parmesan or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.

Thank you!
