Parker's Story

Meet Parker!

Get ready to welcome a bundle of joy into your life! This handsome fella is Parker, an 8-month-old male cat with absolutely stunning markings that will make your heart melt.

Parker was once someone's pet in a local mobile home park that is currently being demolished for more apartment housing to be built in its place. The homeowners that lived there were not only losing their homes but were leaving their personal pets behind because they had no where to go with them. They felt that at least a neighbor would feed them. That wasn't the case for a lot of the cats there they were very hungry as their food sources slowly were moving away. One of the mobile home owners who also feeds the homeless cats there reached out to FOF and asked if we could take this very friendly cat, Parker into our rescue for foster care as the home that he had known was scheduled to come down the next day. They were afraid he would be crushed under the trailer as he and many others would often hide under the crawl space.

Parker is a true gem who's ready for a life of love and adventure! If you're looking for a cat who knows how to have fun, Parker is your guy! He is absolutely obsessed with toys and will chase anything that moves. Prepare for endless entertainment watching him pounce, bat, and zoom around. His favorite wrestling partner is his foster sister, Snowflake, so he's already proven to be a social butterfly!

When playtime is over, Parker transforms into a total love-bug. He adores being petted and will purr up a storm to show his appreciation. And the best part? At night, he loves to snuggle up between your legs for a cozy and comforting sleep. Get ready for some serious warmth and purrs!

Parker has already shown that he gets along wonderfully with dogs! He's a confident and adaptable boy who will likely integrate well into a home with canine companions. This clever kitty already knows his name and comes running when called! This makes for easy bonding and training.

While Parker is a sweet and gentle boy, his playful nature might be a bit much for very young children. We believe he would thrive in a home with children over 12 years old who can appreciate his energy and engage in gentle play.

Parker has come a long way from his start on the streets, and he's so ready to find his forever family. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate, and all-around wonderful companion, Parker might just be the purrfect match for you! Could you be the one to give this deserving boy the loving home he's always dreamed of?

Parker is neutered and is up to date with vaccines / FVRCP / Rabies ( if age appropriate), he is FIV/FeLV negative, are parasite free and microchipped.

If you would like to adopt Parker an adoption application must be submitted first to be considered. The adoption application can be found on our Petfinder page under ( more about us) or email us at info@friendsoffelinesrescue.org and we will send you the link. Only serious inquiries will be considered .

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING

Our adoptable pets come from various rescue situations in South Florida, where overpopulation is a challenge. They live with foster families, so they're already comfortable in a home environment. We arrange transport only after adoption to avoid the stress of the shelter system environment. You can meet them via video call with their foster. The adoption fee includes transport, spay/neuter, all required vaccinations up to date , Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) a microchip, FIV/FeLV testing, flea and parasite treatment. All adopted cats and kittens will go to a vet health exam prior to transport and will come with a veterinarian's health certificate for travel. They will be delivered to a pickup location near you by professional transporters who will tend to them throughout their journey up North. We will provide updates on their journey and arrival time to your area.
