Paris's Story
Paris came to the Animal Refuge Center with her sister, Persia, as older kittens. They came from a Florida shelter that was over-populated due to a hurricane disaster. Both had very bad teeth and so they went to the best veterinary dentist in the state. Paris has no teeth and eats mostly wet food. She used to get monthly steroid shots to control swelling and pain in her gums. However, she undergoing a treatment regime for her stomatitis and she seems to be doing much better without the need for steroid injections. Paris is now in a foster home where she is loving the comforts of home, love and affection from her foster family! She is still a little skittish at times probably because she has had to be medicated so regularly throughout her life, she is suspicious of approaching humans. Although, she craves love and thoroughly enjoys a good pet session, complete with purring, kneading, and head boops!

She also is living with a dog in her foster home, who she seems to be just fine with. He is an older gentleman and loves having the cats around, but doesn't really mess with them. So, if she were to live with a dog, a calm, well-behaved dog would be a great companion! She does really well with other cats too, and enjoys having them as her housemates!

Paris is marked as special needs because she has no teeth and has to have a wet food diet. She is also undergoing treatment to hopefully put her stomatitis at ease, but would need to be monitored regular to make sure it is managed. Paris is an absolute doll, she is loveable and enjoys attention. She can be a bit shy, but once you've earned her trust, she's yours! It may be that she doesn't have any teeth, but Paris seems to have the best facial expressions! We absolutely love this little girl and can't wait for her to be in a loving home where she can get the attention and love she so much deserves!

Interested in meeting Paris?
