Paris's Story

Meet Paris who along with her mother Claudia, were removed from a horrible hoarding situation in another county. Competing for resources with lots of other cats and living in deplorable conditions until they were rescued and brought to Second Chance. They are now our longest residents having entered Second Chance in November of 2023.

Paris is a grey tabby who has a special love for the Cat Dancer toy – it's like her own enchanted wand! Paris LOVES to play. Besides the Cat Dancer she loves any wand toy but especially the wand with the hard feathers attached. She will eagerly chase and pounce for balls as long as you are willing to play. Paris also loves an open walled spiral tunnel.

Paris really really likes head pets. She is becoming more affectionate all of the time. You'll know when she is interested in being pet as she will look at you and tip her head slightly forward. She actually prefers to sit on a table to be pet. Paris loves to be brushed and will roll over once you start but isn't keen on her belly being brushed.

Paris is pretty maintenance free. She can live comfortably with other non-aggressive cats. She uses her litter box fine with no problem and likes our dry food selection. She does not hiss nor bite, usually she just scampers if she feels threatened.

The ideal home for Paris would be a patient and caring adopter who will allow her to adjust at her own pace yet provide her with lots of play and some pets. She would benefit from a tranquil environment and small space initially where she can learn to feel secure.

Paris may also be fostered first with the intent to adopt. We would so love to see her find a home of her own and want to make all opportunities available to see this happen. Please email adoption@sccatswm.org with interest.

Paris has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Paris has an approximate birthdate of May 2023. Her adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Paris or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.
