Still learning to feel safe indoors, she arrived shy and overwhelmed, but has begun to blossom with the support of her companion, Louis Vuitton. With him by her side, Paris is gaining confidence, exploring her world, and even starting to playsmall steps that mean everything. Paris is FIV-positive and would love to be adopted with her equally sweet, FIV-positive cuddle partner, Louis. SOS Prairie Rescue’s adoption policies are designed to ensure safe, responsible, and lifelong placements. All adopters must complete an application and participate in a review process that considers the needs of both the cat and the adopter’s household. We prioritize appropriate matches based on lifestyle, environment, and the individual cat’s temperament and needs. Adoption contracts are required and include mandatory spay/neuter, veterinary care standards, and a commitment to humane treatment. Adoption fees help offset veterinary and care costs. We provide adopters with guidance, education, and ongoing support, and require that cats be returned to SOS Prairie Rescue if an adoption cannot be maintained. Our goal is to place cats in stable, permanent homes while supporting adopters every step of the way.
