Papaya (Felv+)'s Story
Papaya is pretty 6 year old female. She came to the shelter as a stray and would love a new home of her very own. Naturally she's a little shy at the shelter and would love someone that will show her everything will be ok. She would do best in her new home in a small room or bathroom so she can't hide, and she can get used to her new home slowly and come out of her shell in her own time. Papaya is a very special girl... she's orange and most orange kitties are male. Papaya also has Felv (Feline Leukemia.)

The Felv virus is fragile and cannot survive longer than a few hours outside of the cat. It is mainly passed to other cats through close contact activities, such as mutual grooming, bites, and sharing food bowls and litter boxes. Felv is species specific and can not be transmitted to humans, dogs, and other aniamls. Papaya must be an inside only kitty and can live with other Felv kitties. Felv cats can live very happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives, with the right food, home environment, attention, and care. In return, they will show their love and companionship with purrs of pleasure, playtime, snuggles, and warm kisses.

Papaya is up to date on shots and already spayed, so she can go to her forever home the same day she is adopted!

Reference Papaya's ID number A538802 when visiting the shelter. You are not required to fill out an online inquiry form.
