Papaya's Story
Meet Papaya, a charming 1-year-old cat seeking his forever home. This handsome boy hasn't had much life experience so he's still very shy and nervous. He needs an adopter who is willing to work with him to build up trust, and help him become the confident, playful, joyful boy we know he is inside!

Papaya came to us from a home with multiple cats and kittens that became too much for their owner to properly care for, over 50 of them! He has a sweet personality but didn't get exposed to a lot of handling in his previous home so may get easily startled. We would suggest he be indoor-only which is what he's used to. His compatibility with dogs and children is uncertain. He may adapt well to households with respectful dogs or older children. Gradual introductions are advised.

An adoption counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.

Do you think you could be Papaya's person? Here are some ways to find out:

1. Visit our centre to meet this pet, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or
2. Submit an online application https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-kamloops and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit!

***Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their interest. We are not able to contact all applicants.*** Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 3.6kg Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks Animal has been Neutered
