Panther was a stray found in Waverly, Iowa. A kind person found him and did the right thing by taking him in. They then rushed him to the vet because he had a wound on his neck that ended up being a large bot-fly. They did not find an owner so Waverly Pet Rescue took him in. He is now up to date on shots, dewormed, and Frontline applied. He tested negative for FIV / FeLV. He will be getting neutered soon. Apply now!
Panther is about 17 weeks old as of August 12th, 2019. He is a cute little fellow. He has medium to long hair right now. Thinking he will keep his longer fur as he grows but not sure. He is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. He loves to play and run around. He also loves to cuddle and purrs easily. He has not been around other cats, dogs, or children yet. I imagine he would do ok with all of them since he is so young. Will update this when we get to know him better.
Panther must be adopted into a home with another playful cat. He must have a cat friend to play with. He cannot be an only cat.
Panther's adoption fee is $95.00.
WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com
All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
