Panais's Story

Hi! My name is Panais, and here’s a little more about me:

My Journey
I’ve been through quite a journey and am proud to say I’m a FIP survivor. Thanks to treatment, a condition that was once considered untreatable is now part of my past—and I’m happily living my best life. I did experience some neurological effects while I was sick, and while I’ve recovered beautifully, I still have one lingering quirk that makes me uniquely me (more on that below). Through it all, I’ve remained sweet, resilient, and full of love.

My Social Life
Other cats: I love other cats and get along with everyone I meet.
Dogs: My experience with dogs is unknown, but with gentle introductions, I may be open to learning.
Kids: I’d likely do best with older, gentle humans who can understand and accommodate my special needs.

My Personality
Affectionate, goofy, gentle, and endlessly sweet. I’m a true cuddle bug with a delightfully silly side. I don’t have a mean bone in my body, and I approach life with cheerful curiosity—even if my thoughts sometimes seem powered more by sparkle than strategy.

I Enjoy...
Snuggling (a lot!) and being close to my people
Lounging comfortably and soaking up affection
Spending time with other cats
Mealtime—especially kitten food (I’m very food-motivated!)
Bringing smiles with my lovable, dopey charm

I’m Not a Fan Of...
Missing out on snacks
Diets (though I know I’m working toward a healthier weight!)
Being misunderstood—I promise all my quirks are unintentional

What Makes Me Special
I’m a survivor with a heart full of love and a wonderfully quirky personality. I’m often described as a "cuddle marshmallow"—soft, squishy, and always ready to snuggle. My gentle nature, goofy charm, and sparkly spirit make me truly unforgettable.

My Perfect Home
I’d thrive in a calm, loving home with patient adopters who appreciate a cat with a big heart and a few quirks. I’d love feline companionship and humans who enjoy cuddles, laughter, and lots of together time. A routine and understanding environment will help me shine.

My Special Needs
I am a former FIP kitty who has completed treatment and is considered recovered. Due to past neurological involvement, I sometimes don’t realize when I’m having a bowel movement. I use the litter box perfectly for urination, but occasional bowel accidents can happen unintentionally. With understanding, easy-to-clean spaces, and a compassionate adopter, this is very manageable—and it doesn’t slow me down from being an incredibly loving companion.
