Pacific's Story

Hi, my name is Pacific. I am a 7-month-old, male, black kitten. I was rescued along with my brother, Atlantic, as a feral kitten. I was a little older when I was rescued, so I am still a bit on the cautious side. My foster mom says that I have a gentle soul. I am shiny and sleek and am the perfect color if you like dark clothing and don't want hair to show! I need an adopter who is patient and understanding. I'll need to start off in a small, secure space until I'm comfortable with my new humans. Now that I am comfortable in my foster home, I love to snuggle with my foster mom! Perhaps since my brother and I were really thin and starving when our foster took us in, we have a tendency to EAT things that we shouldn't - string, ribbon, feathers, etc. It would be best for us to stick to hard plastic toys (like balls with bells) to ensure that we don't eat something and get really sick. I would benefit from having another friendly, confident cat around to show me the ropes. I would prefer a calm home with only older (12+) kids and either older, calm dogs or no dogs. I am neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, tested for FIV/FeLV (negative/negative), and have my microchip. If you are interested in making me a part of your family, please click on the following link to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.purringheartsva.org and a volunteer will reach out to you within 72 hours. I hope to hear from my forever family soon!
