Ozzy's Story
Meet “Ozzy!” One of our shelter euthanasia list rescue kitties. He came into the shelter with a pretty bad open fracture of his back leg. The vets didn’t feel that it was surgically repairable and decided to amputate. He is about 2 years old, neutered and fully vetted otherwise. But he is very shy and timid. Currently in a foster bathroom, he likes to hide under the sink. Right now, he likes to be pet gently, purrs and makes biscuits but also wants to hiss and swat. He is very scared and has been through a lot, but makes huge progress daily. Thankfully he gets around just fine with only one back leg. Uses his litterbox perfectly! No special accommodations are needed. We are just working on socializing him.
