Otis's Story
Meet Otis, he will win your heart with his good looks and affection — he's a tiny survivor with a giant heart.

Male | UTD on shots | Neutered | 1-2 years old | 10lbs | Rescued from Costa Rica | Breed: American Short Hair (Tuxedo) | Fostered in Toronto

Background

Otis is a small male cat, around 1–2 years old, with a gentle soul and a story of resilience. Rescued from Costa Rica with a severe neck injury and dangerously underweight, he’s now fully recovered — and thriving.

Personality

Affectionate and sweet, Otis is a total cuddle bug. He loves to be held, snuggled, and doted on, and he’s not shy about asking for love. He’s also playful, curious, and starting to show his fun, relaxed side as he settles into safety. He is a high energy boy and absolutely loves to play, with his favourite activities being the teaser wand, chasing ping pong balls, laces, and looking out the window. He is a goofy boy who likes to lay about in silly positions and is incredibly brave and affectionate despite his difficult past.

Ideal Home

Otis would love a quiet, loving home where he can soak up attention and feel secure. He’d be happiest somewhere with window views to watch the world go by — birdwatching is one of his favorite pastimes!
Because Otis tends to walk right underfoot when he’s excited (and might nip a toe if you accidentally step on him!), a home without small children is best, but older cat-savvy children would be great as well as a cat friendly canine companion. However, he cannot be in a home with another cat but he could live with another FIV+ cat or be your one-and-only.

Training & Activity

Otis is neutered and fully litter box trained. He’s high energy — happy to play with his toys and enjoys frequent structured play sessions throughout the day, especially in the morning and at night, and he loves to be around his people and will be your little shadow.
He tested negative for FeLV and positive for FIV. FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives and don't pose a risk to humans but will need to be the only cat in the home. Otis just needs a safe, loving home where he can continue to flourish.

Summary

Otis has come such a long way and is ready to give all his love to the right person. Could you be the one to give this brave little guy the forever home he deserves?

**NOTE** All adoption applicants must be residents of Ontario, Canada to be considered.

Apply here to Adopt
http://seapawsrescue.org/adoptionApplication.html (edited)
