Oscar's Story
Oscar is 9 years old and has been through more in life than any cat should have to. Now, he's looking for someone willing to take a chance on him and show him just how safe and loved life can be.

New spaces and new faces can be overwhelming for Oscar, so he'll need a patient home willing to let him settle in at his own pace. Having a smaller space to call his own at first helps him feel secure, and cozy beds, cat dens and quiet hiding spots are some of his favourite places to relax.

Once Oscar realizes he's safe, though, things start to change pretty quickly. He comes looking for pets, leans in for head, cheek and chin scratches and rewards his people with the sweetest purrs. He's even learned his new name and will come when his foster calls "Oscar!" He also has a playful side and has started exploring the house, discovering toys and making himself at home.

And then there are the Temptations. If you're looking for the way to Oscar's heart, they are a very good place to start! Tossing treats around for him to find is a great way to build his confidence, and he takes his treat hunting very seriously.

Oscar really wants a cat friend in his forever home. In both of his foster placements, he has looked to the resident cats for companionship and confidence, and having another cat around seems to help him feel safe enough to explore and come out of his shell. He would do best with a friendly, confident cat who can show him the ropes and give him that extra bit of reassurance as he settles in.

Oscar has had his dental work completed and is ready for his fresh start. Because he can be sensitive to change, our team will guide his adopters through his settling-in period and be there to support both Oscar and his new family along the way.
