This affectionate 11-year-old lap cat is all about love and companionship. Once you’ve won over his heart and earned your place as his trusted guardian, he will show you love again and again.

Oscar will be at your side the moment you sit down, insisting on curling up in your lap or nestling right beside you. Give him some pets, and he’ll respond with the rumbling purrs. He can be cautious around new people at first, but curiosity usually wins out — before long, he may even cuddle with them lap, too! At bedtime, he’s the perfect snuggle buddy, tucking himself around you as you sleep.

For such a distinguished senior gentleman, Oscar also has a playful streak! After mealtimes, he'll want to play with you. He loves chasing after wand toys and mice (he especially likes the Cat Dancer). He’ll dash around the room, hiding behind furniture to attack and leaping high into the air to go after a toy. Age is truly just a number with Oscar!

Oscar has a liver condition which has a prognosis of 2-3 years, so we’re looking for a special adopter to give this extra-special boy the loving home he deserves. He doesn’t really have any noticeable symptoms, and receives one steroid pill every day, which he happily eats. Since he'll likely need to continue trips to the vet in the future, he’ll appreciate an adopter who’ll help feel him comfortable with his carrier, which is scary to him currently. To ensure this sweet boy gets a great home, Cat Town will help cover some of his medical expenses for life.

Oscar

is looking for a loving home where he can soak up affection and spend his golden years as someone’s cherished companion.
