Oscar's Story

Meet Oscar — A Big Boy with an Even Bigger Heart!

At 18 pounds, Oscar is a BIG, handsome boy—but his heart is even bigger! At about 6 years old, Oscar is the definition of gentle, laid-back, and affectionate. He isn’t looking for anything fancy. He just wants a person to call his own and a safe, comfortable place where he can finally relax and enjoy life.

Oscar was rescued from behind a motel, and now he’s ready to leave that difficult chapter behind him. He loves being around people and is happiest simply keeping you company. Give him some treats, a comfy couch, and a good movie, and Oscar will be one very happy cat. He’d love nothing more than to curl up beside you for a cozy evening.

Oscar is also very laid-back with other cats. He is a gentle soul and doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body.

Oscar is FIV positive, but please don't let that scare you away from this wonderful boy. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, normal lives with proper care. FIV is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, and because Oscar is such a gentle, non-aggressive cat, he can often live happily with other compatible cats.

Oscar is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped and is ready to find the loving home he has been waiting for.

If you're looking for a big, mellow, affectionate companion who will be thrilled just to be by your side, Oscar may be your perfect match.

Oscar's dream? A loving person, a soft couch, some treats, a good movie, and a safe place to call home. He deserves all of that and more.
