Orpheus's Story

ORPHEUS is a male-neutered medium hair black/white kitten. He was born about August 2025, then rescued late October as one of an abandoned litter of stray kittens. He is gentle, playful, & VERY affectionate. He always comes to you for affection from his resting place (often "talking" to you with meows), and likes being petted or held. He has Feline Leukemia virus (FeLV) which is not transmissible to humans, only to cats. He should be the only cat in the home. Although he has FeLV, which weakens his immune system, he's asymptomatic & enjoying a happy life. He should be a wonderful, loving companion.

Yucaipa Animal Placement Society's Adoption Policy

The adoption fee includes spay or neuter surgery, vaccines and a microchip for dogs and cats. We do a thorough assessment of the animal’s temperament and needs so that we can find both them and you the companion of a lifetime. Our goal is to adopt out pets into permanent, loving homes. The YAPS Team is here to help you choose a pet that will fit in with your lifestyle and bring harmony to your home. YAPS does not currently offer transport for adopters outside of our surrounding area. Adopters must adopt a pet in person at our facility or adoption events.

Yucaipa Valley Animal Placement Society is a no kill, nonprofit animal rescue that strives to prevent the euthanasia of dogs and cats in shelters throughout the region by providing them a temporary safe haven until a permanent loving home can be found.
