Speaking for myself, my name, Orla, means “golden princess.” I’m pretty enough to be a princess, aren’t I? I was nowhere near a palace when I was found on my own In SE Rochester back in August. I have stayed in a couple different foster homes, and now I am at the shelter hoping to find a forever home. I may be a princess-in-training. Learning to trust and feeling comfortable around people is a work in progress for me. I am wary about being touched, and if I feel overly nervous, I may attempt to swat. For this reason, I may do best in a home with adults only or with older children who can read my signals. I need an adopter who will be patient with me and willing to accept me as I am. Will you be able to give me as much time as I need to adjust to a new place and to a new person or people?
