Orion's Story

Orion is a one year old male cat who has the most beautiful rescue, love-story! He was a tiny member of a colony of cats that were found during a TNR project who could not be safely returned to their original location.

Even though he was unused to humans, he was placed in a foster home in hopes that he would grow to trust and make a house pet one day. He came to us with his sister Umbra . As he grew to trust humans, he also grew sweet and curious ! He’s clever and playful now! He shows affection by weaving between the legs of his humans, and pressing his head against you until you pet him. He especially loves his foster dad and will cuddle with him on the bed. He loves wet food at breakfast, both creamy and crunchy treats and playing with feet.

Because of his isolated origins I don’t recommend a family with children who expect to carry a pet around in their arms, even though he can be cuddly. He is not used to being grabbed. Quick movements can still spook him. He gets along well with other cats, especially his sister Umbra.
He will do best with a human or family who will allow his quietly charming, silly personality to unfold in time. Your rewards will be great!

This is a very special cat who wears his ear-tip like a badge in remembrance of his poignant origins. This is a beautiful, beautiful cat.

Orion's adoption fee is $100. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
