Orion's Story

Orion's story started with seven tiny kittens and a young mama cat who had been left behind when her owner moved away. She wandered to a neighboring home looking for help and did everything she could to care for her babies, but the situation wasn’t safe. One kitten had already been lost and they desperately needed somewhere safe to go.

Their young mama had been abandoned and was trying to care for seven kittens on her own. When she eventually stopped caring for them, the kittens were left frightened, unsocialized, and essentially feral.

Like his black-coated brothers, Orion is a little more cautious when meeting new people. He likes to take a minute to watch, figure you out, and make sure everything feels safe before he fully lets his guard down.

Underneath that shy exterior is a playful little rascal who loves toys, wrestling with his siblings, and joining in on whatever kitten chaos is happening around him. He may not be the first one to run up and introduce himself, but give him a little time and patience and he’ll start showing you just how silly and curious he really is.

Orion would do best with a family who understands that trust can take a little time and is happy to let him settle in at his own pace. Watching him gain confidence is incredibly rewarding, and we think he’ll become a wonderful, playful companion once he knows he’s safe.

Orion may be a little cautious at first, but there’s a sweet, mischievous little guy waiting just underneath.

Please note: Orion is still too young for spay/neuter at this time. Their adoption includes a required future spay/neuter through True North Sanctuary, and the adoption will not be considered complete until the procedure has been performed.
