Oreo - Special Needs's Story

Special needs kitten!
Oreo seeks a unique home and adopter due to having juvenile cataracts. With him being so young, and having such a big medical need, we are looking for a home that can keep him inside-only, and monitor his vision. He also cannot live with young children due to his limited sight (and kids come out of nowhere!)

Currently, he sees mostly out of his right eye, not his left. He will need an adopter who can take him to the feline ophthalmologist, as the vet feels it is needed to make sure he continues to be pain-free, and no other care is warranted. He is currently on an anti-inflammatory eye drop medication once a day, which might end up being a long-term medication used for his life. He has another recheck in May to see how he is progressing, as with him being so young, it is very hard to determine what his vision and needs would be in life moving forward. He potentially would be a candidate for cataract surgery, so needing an adopter who financially can provide for him throughout his life. Oreo is currently living his best kitten life in a foster home, while waiting to be adopted into his next home.

Here’s a blurb from his foster:
"Oreo is a lovable, gentle kitten who has more old-man vibes than energetic kitten. He's very brave and outgoing. He is currently being fostered in a home with dogs and cats. He follows around his foster humans and seems to enjoy cuddles and sleeping close to the heater."

Please contact us if you feel your home can provide Oreo all the love and ophthalmology care this sweet boy needs.
