Oreo & Simon (FeLV+ Regressive)'s Story

Sometimes, even the best intentions don’t quite work out.

Our sweet FeLV-positive kittens, Simon and Oreo, were recently returned — through no fault of their own. Their adopters thought they were ready for the joy (and chaos!) of kittens, but found it was more than they expected. They made the thoughtful choice to return Simon and Oreo so they could find their ideal forever home.

Because they’re still young, playful kittens who need a special home, we wanted to get them back out there right away — to give them the best chance at finding the loving, stable family they deserve.

These two are absolute loves — gentle, social, and totally devoted to each other. They play hard, nap even harder, and purr the second they see you. They’re a bonded pair who truly find comfort and confidence in one another.

Simon and Oreo both have regressive FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) — which means their bodies fought off the active virus, and it now remains dormant. They aren’t contagious to other cats unless the virus reactivates (which may never happen), and they can live long, happy, healthy lives just like any other cats.

They’d do best in a quiet home with no other cats, where they can keep thriving together.

If you’ve ever thought about opening your heart to a pair of truly special kittens, this is your sign.

Apply to adopt: nose2tailcatrescue.org/adopt
(Please note: not all applications are approved.)

All cats are fully vetted — spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped.
