Oreo's Story

Oreo is an overly affectionate, neutered male with striking emerald-green eyes and a classic black-and-white coat—just like the cookie he’s named after. This sweet boy is all about love and connection and will happily soak up every bit of attention you’re willing to give. If you’re looking for a cat who truly enjoys human companionship, Oreo will steal your heart in no time. Oreo is an easygoing soul and a true nap enthusiast. He spends most of his day lounging, relaxing, and recharging, making him a wonderful low-key companion. While he currently lives peacefully with other cats, he mostly keeps to himself and barely notices them—his focus is on comfort and cuddles. Because of this, Oreo would do well either as an only cat or in a home with calm feline companions. Oreo is FIV-positive, but he can safely coexist with FIV-negative and FeLV-negative cats, as well as other FIV-positive cats. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is transmitted primarily through deep bite wounds, most often during serious fights where saliva enters the bloodstream. Because of this, FIV is uncommon in indoor cats and is not spread through casual contact such as sharing food or water bowls, grooming, cuddling, or using the same litter box. With proper care and a loving home, FIV-positive cats like Oreo can live long, happy, and healthy lives. We do not hold animals. ?Here’s how it works: Submit Application & Contract – Fill out every field in both forms. If unsure, write "TBD" or "Unknown." – Submit completed forms to arcwithlove@gmail.com Application Review – Our team conducts background checks and will contact you with any questions. Virtual Meeting – If selected, you’ll be invited to a virtual meet & greet. – A short home check may be required. In-Person Meet & Greet – Within 48 hours, your household meets the pet. – We recommend all family members (and pets!) attend to ensure a good fit. Take Home Your ARC Pet – If all goes well, your pet goes home with you that day.
