Orchard (in foster care)'s Story
Orchard, female kitten, black DSH with green eyes. Estimated date of birth is May 25, 2024.

Orchard was found along with her sisters Clover and Timothea and brother Alfalfa, all mere days old, hidden among the hay bales at Glisson Animal Supply in Sebring. They would not be safe among the bales and forklifts and so were brought to Animal Services before landing with a neonate foster visiting next door at the shelter on that day. The kittens were bottle fed for the next month and finally weaned. They have lived in a home with other foster kittens, resident cats, one very sleepy old dog and are extremely well socialized. Orchard is very sweet and affectionate, the smallest of her siblings. She loves to be held and gives warm fuzzy hugs and kisses. The snuggle is real! Orchard is often found in the protective company of her brother Alfalfa, a bit hard to tell apart at first. Each is confident and independent. They also make a wonderful pair. If you are interested in adopting Orchard, perhaps along with her brother, please contact their adoption coordinator Alex at 330-261-3934 to start the process and set up an appointment to meet. The adoption donation for each kitten is $45 and includes UTD vaccines, microchip and spay surgery when the kittens are of age.

Please keep in mind that we try to match your application and lifestyle with a cat that best suits your home. We are the cat’s advocate and we put their needs first in hopes that we are finding them a forever home.
