Ophelia's Story

Our beautiful Ophelia came to us through local animal control. We've been helping them with a hoarding case of 97 cats - and Ophelia is one of them!

Despite coming from such a crazy situation, Ophelia is as sweet as she is beautiful. We have never seen a cat like her before - she looks grey at first glance, but look closer and you'll see she's actually a dilute tortie, with splotches of dilute orange on her toes and the back of her head. She really loves to be warm and cozy; she is usually snuggled under some bed or blanket, and with winter fast approaching we don't blame this cozy queen!

In addition to 96 other cats, Ophelia also lived with a dog! We don't know how much exposure she had but we think she'd be happy in pretty much any home with an introduction to the other animals, although energetic dogs may be a little much for this quiet lady. She's never been around kids but we think she'd be fine with most kids around 10+ who can give her space when he wants it, but also pets and attention when she wants it! Will you save her heart from the Fate of Ophelia? Fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.fatherjohns.org/adopt. You'll get an email to reply to in order to make an appointment. Appointments are required Weds/Fri. Walk ins are accepted with appointments preferred every other day.

Father John's Animal House's Adoption Policy
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website. We ask that all potential adopters do this so that we may find the perfect match that will benefit both human and pet. From there, the fastest way to set an appointment is to reply to the automated email you'll receive shortly after submitting your questionnaire. We prioritize pre-scheduled appointments but are happy to assist walk-ins between the hours of 11:00 - 3:30. If you already have a dog and are looking to adopt another, we will set up a dog intro to make sure the two pups get along. Check out our website to see our adoption fees - they vary based on the age of the animal. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and seen by our veterinarians prior to adoption.
