Ophelia's Story
Ophelia is a beautiful, long hair, black cat. She is extremely shy and cautious. Ophelia has made great strides with her socialization and acceptance of humans. It used to be that we could barely touch her and she would hiss at us a lot. She now accepts pets and even purrs for us! Her long fur does require routine grooming and brushing because she does get matted easily, but she is a very good girl for brushings and groomings. She has always been very gentle, and has never tried to bite or swat. In a quiet home with some patience, Ophelia can continue to blossom. She may never be an interactive cat, but she has really come a long way! She also gets along great with all other cats. Her estimated date of birth is 8/10/15.

**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY** If you are interested in applying for the potential adoption of this pet, and to expedite the process, please read about our adoption and shelter visitation policy on our website at www.animalserviceleagueny.org.
