Opal's Story
Opal is a calm and graceful Domestic shorthair who’s ready for the peace and love of a forever home. Found as a stray with her kittens, this resilient mama has done her job raising her babies and is now looking forward to a life where she can finally be pampered. We believe Opal may have been born in May of 2023 but that is just a guess. She may not be a fan of being held for long, but Opal loves gentle pets and quiet companionship. She's the kind of cat who will happily sit nearby, soaking up your affection without demanding too much attention. Her calm nature makes her a wonderful match for a low-key household. With slow, proper introductions, Opal can live comfortably with other friendly cats, cat-savvy dogs, or respectful children. She’ll thrive in a home where she feels safe and respected—somewhere she can fully relax and just be herself. If you’re looking for a serene and affectionate companion, Opal is ready to bring calm and quiet joy into your life. Opal has been spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped, wormed, and negative for FIV/FelV.

Note: To adopt, you must live with approximately 100 miles of one of our adoption sites (Benld or Springfield IL), and be at least 18 years of age.
